Your Guide to Philly Wine Week 2019

No matter if it’s Wine Wednesday, Thirsty Thursday, TGIF or Saturday date night, restaurants and lounges all over town love to celebrate the mighty grape.

And that’s even more true during Philly Wine Week, an annual celebration of vino that takes place right here in Philadelphia. This year’s festivities run from April 1 to 7 2019, and there’s plenty of ways to take part and get your drink on. Here’s some of the Philly Wine Week events we’re most excited for:

What: Philly Wine Week Annual Kick-off Event
Where: The Bellevue Hotel, 200 S. Broad St., 19th floor
When: March 31, 6 p.m. (VIP Happy Hour begins at 5 p.m.)
Half networking, half boozing, meet other wine enthusiasts in the area at the first Wine Week event of the year.

What: April Fool’s Day Wine Flight
Where: A. Kitchen, 135 S. 18th St.
When: April 1
Celebrate everyone’s favorite day of foolery with featured wines from notable wine producers.

What: Blurring the Lines 2: The Terroir of Manhattan
Where: Martha, 2113 E. York St.
When: April 1, 4:30 p.m.
Martha’s in-house sommelier will provide a blind tasting to customers. If you guess the wine correctly, the bottle is yours for free.

What: Rosé on the Patio
Where: Terrain Café, 138 W. Lancaster Ave.
When: April 1-7
Usher in spring with rosé or rosé sangria on the restaurant’s enclosed patio.

What: Good Things Come to Those Who Wait
Where: Fork Restaurant, 306 Market St.
When: April 1-7
The white wines presented at this event only got better with age.

What: Secrets of Italia Tasting Experience
When: April 1, 5 p.m.
Where: Pizzeria Stella, 2nd & Lombard
Head to Headhouse Square for a three-course tasting menu prepared by the chef and inspired by two of Italy’s most underrated wine regions, Le Marche and Umbria.
