Laurie Phillips is a wonderful real estate agent. We have used her 4 times in the last 14 years. She rented us a house when we moved to Philadelphia. We bought a house using her. 13 years later she sold the house for us and found us a wonderful rental apartment. Selling a house is not easy. Laurie made it as painless as possible. Before we put the house on the market, my husband and I had 2 meetings to discuss pricing and comparable properties in the neighborhood. Laurie suggested exactly when she wanted the house to go on the market. \She also suggested a few changes be made to make the house appeal to more buyers – in our case we repainted the blue walls of the master bedroom to off-white and purchased a new bedcover. She or an associate was at every showing. They came 1/2 an hour before each and went through the house to make sure it looked its best for the potential buyers. I am embarrassed to say on more than one occasion they had to make my bed. I trust her and her associates completely. This was important because we travel often and the house was shown while we were out of town. There was a fair amount of back and forth with the eventual buyers during the negotiation. Laurie kept us informed every step of the way. I think her honesty and knowledge of the local market helped with the successful outcome of the negotiations. When the deal was just about done, my husband broke his arm skiing and had to have emergency surgery. Laurie completed the deal for us, keeping the buyer informed as to why we were missing deadlines and keeping the deal moving forward to closing. My husband and I highly recommend her.
